The first Cohorts of training call — Harmonized through all NPHIs

Harmonised Call for Applications — MSc and Post-Graduate Certificate training pathways hosted by the University of Rwanda / ACE-DS, with NPHI-level selection across the five consortium countries. One call, the same criteria and the same two-step selection process for all National Public Health Institutes.

Eligibility highlights

  • Staff of participating National Public Health Institutes (Benin, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Rwanda, Senegal) or closely linked public-health programmes
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant quantitative/health discipline (UR ACE-DS admission requirements apply)
  • Institutional nomination/endorsement by your NPHI and readiness for work-based learning
  • Commitment to apply the acquired skills within your institution after training

Harmonised Call for Applications 2026 — MSc & PGCert Now Open: First Cohort Selection Launched

Your data. Your country. Your moment. The EpiScientia Network opens its first-ever Harmonised Call for Applications — two fully-sponsored pathways to become one of Africa's next-generation health data science leaders: a work-based MSc in Biostatistics (single cohort, training from September 2027) and repeatable Post-Graduate Certificates (first cohort from March 2027). Hosted by the University of Rwanda / ACE-DS with NPHI-level selection in Benin, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Rwanda and Senegal — the first cohort selection is officially launched. Merit-based, transparent, and committed to gender and geographic balance: only admitted candidates receive the EpiScientia Scholarship.

Eligibility

  • Staff of (or affiliated with) an NPHI in Benin, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Rwanda or Senegal
  • Institutional NPHI nomination + UR / ACE-DS academic admission requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or health-related field (MSc pathway)
  • Commitment to work-based learning and a public-health career
